This Service Provider Disclosure explains the role of GarageDoorContactor.com when a consumer uses the Site to request garage door service. We want visitors to understand the relationship before submitting a form or calling a number displayed on the Site.
1. We are a lead-generation and referral website
GarageDoorContactor.com publishes garage door service information and provides a request process that may connect consumers with independent garage door businesses. Unless expressly disclosed otherwise, we are not the contractor that will arrive at your property and we do not directly employ every technician or company that may contact you.
2. Your request may be shared
When you submit a service request, information such as your name, phone number, email address, location, property type, requested service, urgency and comments may be provided to one or more independent providers or to technology partners involved in routing the request. The request may include compliance or lead-verification data such as a Jornaya LeadID or TrustedForm certificate URL.
Submitting a request does not guarantee that a provider will accept it. Availability may depend on ZIP code, service category, schedule, business hours, parts, staffing and provider criteria.
3. Providers control their own businesses
Independent service providers are responsible for their own licensing, registrations, insurance, technicians, vehicles, tools, diagnosis, pricing, estimates, contracts, warranties, scheduling, permits, taxes and workmanship. We do not guarantee a provider’s credentials or performance. Consumers should verify qualifications that matter to them and that are required by applicable state or local law.
4. We do not set final price or scope
Prices shown in educational content, if any, are general information and should not be treated as a quote. The provider determines the actual diagnosis, proposed scope, parts, labor and price. Ask for an estimate and understand whether it includes service-call fees, labor, parts, disposal, taxes or other charges before authorizing work.
5. Compensation
GarageDoorContactor.com may receive compensation from service providers, advertisers, lead buyers, call buyers, networks or other partners when a consumer submits a lead, places a qualifying call, is connected with a provider, schedules service or completes another agreed action. This compensation may influence which provider receives a request or how a provider is displayed. Consumers are not charged by GarageDoorContactor.com merely for submitting the website request form.
6. No promise of local office, same-day arrival or specific credentials
State and metro pages are geographic navigation and service-information pages. They do not mean GarageDoorContactor.com owns a storefront, warehouse or staffed office in every city or metro area. We do not claim a provider is “local,” “licensed,” “insured,” “background checked,” available 24/7 or able to arrive the same day unless that statement is supported for the specific provider and context.
7. Consumer choice
You are free to accept or decline communications and estimates, subject to any separate obligations you voluntarily enter into with a provider. You may also seek estimates from other companies. Review provider terms, warranties and cancellation rights before making a decision.
8. Safety
If a garage door is unstable, off track, hanging, has a broken spring or frayed cable, or moves unexpectedly, keep people and property clear and do not continue operating it merely because a service request has been submitted. A web request is not a substitute for emergency services or an on-site safety assessment.
9. How requests may be routed
A request may be routed based on information such as service category, ZIP code, city, state, time of submission, provider coverage, provider capacity, campaign settings, or commercial relationships. A provider receiving a request may not be the closest company to your property and may not be the only company capable of performing the work. We do not promise that routing will identify the lowest-priced, highest-rated or most experienced provider.
10. Provider verification and consumer research
Provider information can change. A license may expire, insurance may change, ownership may change, or a business may use subcontractors. Before work begins, consumers should independently verify any credential that is important or legally required for the project. Where applicable, check the relevant state or local licensing authority, request proof of insurance, review the written estimate, and confirm who will actually perform the work.
11. Calls, texts, recordings and consent
Calls placed to or from numbers associated with the Site or participating providers may use call-routing, call-tracking or quality-assurance technology. Where permitted and properly disclosed, calls may be recorded or monitored. Form consent language should be read before submission. Consent to marketing or automated communications, where requested, is not a condition of purchasing garage door service. You may communicate opt-out requests to the sender using the method described in the message or applicable law.
12. Complaints and service disputes
If you have a workmanship, billing, property-damage, scheduling or warranty dispute, first contact the independent provider because that business controls the service transaction. You may also contact appropriate consumer-protection, licensing or insurance authorities where relevant. GarageDoorContactor.com may review reports concerning leads or provider conduct, but we do not promise to arbitrate a dispute, issue a refund on a provider’s behalf, compel a provider to perform work, or provide a warranty for independent work.
13. Questions
If you have questions about this disclosure or how a request was handled, use the Contact page. Questions about a provider’s estimate, work, payment or warranty should generally be directed to that provider.
